This week I have been organizing for a dear friend, Heather Owens. As most of you know, just one short year ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 28. Although the past year has been an extremely hard one, she has just celebrated her 1 year survivor anniversary!!! Yay Heather! She’s a fighter! What I love about this girl is her tenacity for getting things done. Instead of letting cancer get her down…what does she do? She created a non-profit called Fighting Fancy. It’s an amazing organization that provides a bag of over 30 items to make women around the world feel beautiful while they are “fighting” through chemotherapy. The bag is filled with cosmetics & healthcare items that help with the harsh side effects of chemotherapy. Just to name a couple, biotene mouthwash for dry mouth & Nixon for hair growth.
Heather just recently moved into a new home & had her last reconstructive breast surgery ALL IN THE SAME WEEK!!! As you can imagine, she needed some help getting everything unpacked & organized! So she called Mind Over Matter to the rescue. I’m organizing Heather’s entire office & it’s still not completed, however, the Fighting Fancy wall is complete, so I’m going to give you a sneak preview of just that wall. I’ll post the entire office soon.
Let’s take a look at the wall BEFORE…
THE NEW FIGHTING FANCY WALL!
Now Heather can access the Fighting Fancy bags & supplies with ease when she’s stuffing bags for women fighting through chemotherapy around the world! Go Heather! You are an amazing woman with an amazing cause!
