Are you one of those Mom’s that can’t part with anything your little genius creates or learns??? I’ll be the first to admit it…I am! Over the past few months I have been letting Cruz’s school papers pile up so high on his desk that he can’t even use it anymore! 😖 It’s literally making me crazy! Something had to be done, and quickly!
With every organizing project, comes mini-organizing projects within the BIG project. So here’s the first step to tackling this sea of school work….SPANISH CLASS LESSONS! These are papers I want to keep. The goal is for Cruz to be able to refer back to the Spanish words he’s learned & NOT FORGET EVERYTHING!
I started a filing system where we can keep them all in one folder (out of the way) & he can refer to it when wants. So when I open his backpack & out comes a Spanish sheet, I immediately punch holes & add it to his Spanish folder. No more piles laying around the kitchen anymore! Also, I started letting Cruz punch the holes & filing it under the correct tab – he thinks it’s fun! I’m training him to “be organized” without him even knowing it. Yes, I’m sneaky like that. 😉
Let’s take a look at our new system…
There will be more school work mini-projects to come…so stay tuned!
